The homie & fellow CHI-TOWN native Mikkey Halsted was supposed to drop his new Don Cannon-hosted street album Castro yesterday for his B-Day, but he wasn’t able to! Instead he did give us this very tight No I.D.-produced, ever-insightful history lesson of the current urban American in a very classical/lyrical way with Obamanomics! And that’s why Mik is not only 1 of the best emcee’s out right now but artists in any form of music period & keeps being an inspiration to people like me that with hard work you can achieve what you want in life! With that said I’m looking very forward to Mikkey’s Castro project finally dropping next Monday Aug. 13th!
