Broncos Cut Veteran Cornerback Drayton Florence!

Veteran cornerback Drayton Florence being cut by the Denver Broncos yesterday evening was one of the few big surprises this year, as NFL teams trimmed their rosters down to the mandatory 53 players on cut day.
Florence move came as a huge surprise because the Broncos touted him as one of the teams premier offseason acquisitions, after they beat several other teams to sign Florence this year. With the team trying to upgrade their secondary and 18th ranked pass defense of a year ago through the signings of starting cornerback Tracy Porter and Florence.
The 31-year-old corner lost the nickel corner job to Chris Harris, who was an undrafted rookie role player that started four games for the Broncos last year. Still with Champ Bailey and Porter locked in as the starting corners, the Broncos decide to not keep Florence after all and stay young at the position.
